Right, so after tomorrow I have nothing on the calender so it’s off to the Peaks.
But since some drunken eejits broke my hammock I have to quickly choose and obtain a new one.
The choice is: camo one, one with attached mozzy net (great for those northern midges!) or a really big lightweight nylon one, or DD Tarps one with a zip.
DD hammocks have a great reputation. Not used them my self but I have used the DD tarp on bivvie trips in bad weather.

So what reliable friends do my followers have? Which bit of kit, skill or person would you bet the farm on?
Also, I drove past ‘Two Mile Bottom’ tonight.
What a name, how could I forget such a place existed?
I have cycled through Tom Tits Bottom (Gloucestershire)
Yes it did make me snigger

I think my computer is ‘on the blink’
It is ridiculously slow, keeps giving me error messages for high disk usage, takes so long to open programs, and wouldn’t even load tumblr earlier.
I guess it’s done pretty well for a piece of cheap shit I bought over two years ago.
It’s awfully tempting to treat myself to something newer, smaller and faster.
Don’t bin it, save off docs and stuff on a USB stick then download and install Ubuntu or Linux Mint…both are quicker and more efficient than Windoze and free! You can always try running it from a “Live CD” first (google it)
